On May 3rd, Amami City held a PR event called Amami Day at the Yokohama DeNA BayStars baseball game against the Chunichi Dragons at Yokohama Stadium. Naruse Marin and Hirata Marina, pictured, presented bouquets before the game while wearing kimono made of Authentic Amami Oshima Tsumugi. In addition, Mayor Yasuda threw the first pitch while wearing a jersey with the number 726, which references July 26th of last year, the day Amami Oshima was registered as a World Natural Heritage Site.
