Arangachi Waterfall
Arangachi Waterfall is about 30 meters (98.4 ft.) tall, and is run-off from the nearby Mt. Yuwan. It is considered one of the most impressive waterfalls on Amami, and is a great change of scenery after spending time at the beach. The bottom of the waterfall is also full of ‘tanaga’ freshwater shrimp and Japanese mitten crabs that islanders frequently incorporate into Amami cuisine.
