Ta-ken Kenmun Park

Immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere of Ta-ken community in Uken, where locals are said to have encountered sprite-like creatures called ‘kenmun.’ Kenmun are essentially tree spirits for gajumaru (banyan) trees, and will become angry if these trees are harmed. Sit beneath the towering gajumaru tree next to Ta-ken bus stop and take in this mystical area.
