Ukejima
Ukejima is a small populated island further south behind Kakeromajima with untouched nature, and is accessed by boat to Ukeamuro Port. The ‘ukeyuri’ lily (Lilium alexandarae) is found naturally only on Amami Oshima, Kakeromajima, Ukejima, and Tokunoshima, and the population of ‘ukeyuri’ on Ukejima is designated as a Prefectural Natural Monument. The island can be accessed by boat from Koniya.
