Keihan

Keihan is a dish made by pouring chicken broth over a bowl of white rice that has been topped with various ingredients, the most common being shredded chicken, pickled papaya, slices of egg omelet, shiitake mushrooms, seaweed, green onions, and finally citrus zest to give it a little zing of flavor. Keihan is said to have been created as quality cuisine to be served to officials from the Satsuma domain when they would visit the island around 400 years ago.
